·I shake my head every time I see someone say it’s bad for the brand if there’s disgruntled customers who are upset because they can’t easily get the watch . The exact opposite is true, and is true for all luxury goods. This is exactly what Omega wants , and it will long term benefit the brand. I’m sure they want to find a balance where people who put deposits in early, or people with long term history with the brand can likely get a watch … but it wouldn’t serve them well for this to be just sitting in the display case for anyone who just walks into an OB or AD. However, I do agree they probably shouldn’t be holding deposits, but policy on that seems to be all over the place depending on country and whether it’s a dealer or a swatch group owned OB.
Lol I shake my head everytime someone say this is what Omega wants.
What they want r sales. 2023 will be a tough year for all lux brands. I put a deposit down within the first hr of release. An email from the AD stated omega has confirm allocation for them(b4 u ask why not BO, there's none in Toronto). Time isn't a concern for me, I can wait for years (which I have). But if I don't get one at the end, I'll pass on this brand for good. Lol I guess that's what omega wants.
