I'm in Canada and we only have 1 OB on the West coast, so it makes no sense to trying to get one. I have a deposit at my AD in the GTA and have given up hope and thinking to get my deposit back. The last 2 years have been an absolute embarrassment and have totally turned me off from Omega and can't see myself buying another one. Rolex plays AD games yes, but don't take my money for 2 years with zero information on delivery.

To be honest, it's not Omega but your AD hoarding your deposit. I was told some ADs took on deposit even with no promise/ allocation from Omega. Some have started to return the deposits.

Stopped by OB for some totally unrelated and they said good timing, they got a surprise for me. Gotta love that after sale service

I asked Omega about it being discontinued a few months ago, response below.

This reply from Omega is a typical marketing/PR response in the style of "we will not comment anything". The truth is one day they will discontinue the Snoopy 50th Anniv.

Anything that Omega "officially" replies will always be along those line, they don't know when it will be discontinued blablabla.

The trust of the matter is, they can release a statement tomorrow saying they will stop producing the watch and everyone will just have to accept it.

I have from good authority that they will still be making them in 2024 at least.
Have commented this before and have been know here to be pretty spot on with predictions and info…( @pdxleaf will back me up )

With interest rates rising and economic activity declining as a result, Swatch is going to need to sell something to continue making money.

Do you know if those that put down a full deposit at a US OB in Oct 2020 will receive a Snoopy watch?

No one knows the answer to that question, even Omega won't guarantee it in writing, and they are the ones making the watches. Most likely those that have put down the full amount will get one, but nothing is guaranteed until it is in your hands.

US is the main place that took deposits.
I know in Australia and several others they didn’t.
All I know is they will be making them well into 2024.

I have a hard time believing that Omega will still be producing these “well into 2024”. I would think they will want to pivot people’s interest and attention into something newer rather than continue to drag that forwards on a watch announced in 2020. As long as people are still waiting for and lusting after a Snoopy, they’re not waiting for and lusting after something else (typically).

The hype is mostly gone, but it is still around at a reduced level. As long as Omega can still flog the Snoopy at the retail price it is in their interest to keep producing them. Omega won't catch 'lightening in a bottle' again like they did with the Snoopy watches. The first one was so-so, the second one is now super expensive because of the design and true limited number made, the latest one built on the frenzy and many wanted one at almost $10k each and an unknown number to eventually be made. Omega won't give that revenue stream up until it is mostly dried up, and that's a few years away.

I don’t think it’s as simple as saying that they will keep making it as long as people keep buying it. My point is that someone buying a Snoopy released in 2020 is (in most cases) not buying a newer watch released and promoted in 2022/2023/2024, and that revenue and that attention/interest is going into a years-old watch rather than a current one. I would think they will want that attention on current products that are actually available at retail and helps spur further sales. It doesn’t help them much to have people waiting for a years-old watch they can’t get IMHO.

Well 3 weeks till Apollo 17 50th, if Omega skips that I think it's over with Apollo anniversaries.

I'm not holding my breath for any LE/anniversaries anymore as they already skipped the A15 50th anniversary.
TBF, the main Apollo missions that matter are 11, 13, and to a lesser extent 17. Omega doesn't do an anniversary watch for every Apollo mission.

There is a very big chance that if they discontinue it after the famous "everyone who wants one can get one" then people will get upset and take their money elsewhere, therefore a loss to omega. It makes no sense to stop making it as long as there people in the wait-lists. Firstly, like I said, people might get upset and give up with the brand (I am nearly there) and secondly, even if some move to different pieces, chances are that said pieces would be cheaper than the snoopy, therefore less money for Omega. It is really a win-win for everyone if they stick true to their CEO's word and keep producing it, hell, even ramp up production, until there are are no more people in the wait-lists.

yeah, A12 and A14 didn't have dedicated anniversaries (except for the mission series), but A15 and A17 seemed to have up until the 45th anniversary making it logical to have a 50th anniversary weren't it for the change in direction regarding LE's after 2019.
