Very happy for you. Do you have substantial purchase history with your OB?

I think this advertising is just to get closer to Rolex.
Since the 26.3. i tried to get in contact to Swatch for the moonswatch
They where not able to answer by phone or by mail since that date ( germany )
But many scalpers selling them on ebay.
Omega is producing a big hype, influencer getting crazy on this, no matter that it is a watch could also be a Nike shoe
Or whatever to pose with.
So Omega is closer to Rolex and when the people get mad and pay a few thousands more, so what.

come to next point Rolex and more and more Omega
There is no waiting list, there is only the question what can the ad earn on the sale.
It took me two years to get a pepsi and the way was to buy watches on top which are difficult to sell for the ad.

thats the way and that is the future for difficult watches like the Snoopy
Sorry for the german English
Regrads

April 17, 1970, the Apollo 13 crew returned home safely. Imho it is just an advertising campaign on this date, not a re-launch of the model nor something related to production units. Let's see.

No doubt it’s around this date of return.

Though since it’s not a milestone year anniversary (52yr?), and since they didn’t say anything last April 17, and since they released the watch on October 5 (when the award was presented to Omega in 1970), it’s just a little head-scratchy.

Huge congrats! I also got mine last week and am in love with it. This one is forever, and won’t be going to feed the grays. At all. Ever.

I'm still in shock... but I got the call yesterday and picked up today. I kept asking them how they determined I would get one and they explained that happened at the Omega corp level. I had placed the deposit the first week it was announced, was around the 30-something person with a deposit. Either way... I am so impressed and in awe. It's even better in person. To those still waiting- have faith! I thought I wouldn't get the chance for 4+ years.... miracles are possible!

First post today, but I’ve been reading all the comments for the last 18 months, finally had the call this week and picked it up today after being on the list since mid 2019 at my AD boutique (UK)….what I will say is it finally looks like they are sending out more watches to the AD’s as this is the 3rd one they’ve had this year and my friend also picked his Snoopy up last week from a different AD in UK but same company group, so hopefully anyone waiting at AD’s will see progress this year.
The watch by the way is stunning. Good luck to everyone waiting.

Indeed. And it also evidences how much misinformation is on here, with people claiming that it’s an OB exclusive.

I don't think people actually claimed it was OB exclusive, this is a quote from the Fratello article at the time of introduction:

"The Speedmaster Snoopy will be only available through boutiques at first (and not online)."

Anyway fingers crossed the Netherlands will get some soon.

Haven’t been around here in a while but wanted to circle back to post an update. Finally got my Snoopy 3 recently. This particular thread nudged me to become more active here (but then I Became a recluse again). Wanted to post an update. My thoughts: this is one hell of a watch. I am blown away with the Omega service as well. Very happy I have added it and thankful to those who posted in this thread as I found much of it very informative.

Thanks for your patience with this newb question.
The marketing you all commented on worked. I've not been in the market for a new watch (though I've always admired Omega), until I saw the recent campaigns on the Snoopy watch. It combines several loves as Peanuts is my one childhood allowance and growing up as a science kid in Florida I have a strong connection with NASA. As such, I find myself in the market for this watch.
My question is really around market condition, can I walk into any boutique or AD and get on a waiting list or do I have to have a prior purchase history? If numbers aren't limited I guess I would expect secondary prices to drop but perhaps this wrong. I don't mind paying secondary price but would rather pay retail if I can get on a list and just deal with the delay. Thanks in advance.
