·I think a lot of people don't appreciate the dependency on supply chains. No end product manufacturer makes or sources absolutely everything in house since at the base there is always a constraint on raw materials.
I'm in the process of renovating and extending my house and raw material prices, especially timber are through the roof relative to pre-pandemic and for UK, pre-Brexit days. We had a 7 week lead time on glass for 2 small to medium size double glazed sash windows. Several weeks to get double glazed glass for residential house windows! We ordered 4 Velux windows, delays from 2-4 weeks due to supply chain issues with capacitors for the electronics. Lump in increased demand for renovations and you have delays.
So the latest Snoopy possibly experiencing supply chain delays? Not hard to believe really. I think supply was limited from pre-production and they don't have any capacity to ramp up, especially given the impact of the pandemic.
