Add to these the moon to mars, A17 45a, Soyuz, full goldmasters, Alaskas and all those 321 vintages plus others..
Is Apollo 17 45th rising in 2nd hand market? Didn't see that happen.

some people are asking at or slightly above retail. But it's true that I feel the Apollo 17 series have never been as popular/easy to sell as Apollo 11 or 13.

my point was: asking are above MRSP (holding its value)

Is that the one where the dial looks like a silver coin? I remember seeing that one in the Houston OB not too long ago.

No. Silver coin dial is 17 40th. 17 45th is the one with blue ceramic dial and bezel.

I see the blue asking price above retail but not sure if it's actually selling. The A17 40th was a real dog with the LE Speedmasters.

If you mean above MRSP, I didn't see that either, thought the asked price is just slightly lower per the offerring I saw recently.

I just wish there was a way to keep the speculators and flippers out of the equation, and sell the watches to those who only want to own not profit. But, that's a fantasy.
Making editions non limited goes a long way to prevent this.

Most Apollo 17 45th Ive seen is selling above retail by at most 50% in brand new condition, I couldn't believe I landed one brand new this year from my AD.

Apollo 17 40th was a flop and is still available for purchase from the US Omega online shop.

Which number (let's say range 😉 ) did you manage to get? I know it took nearly 2 years after the announcement for the #17/1972 to be sold by an OB.
So I am not that surprised there are still Apollo 17 45th available... Nearly a shame because it looks nice, and a blue Speedmaster is a bit unusual

my limited edition watch number is 1152

I was very surprised I've never seen it on display before, and I had thought it was long gone since it was selling between 8 to 10 k on chronos.

out of the blue one of my regular sales reps contacted me saying they got a hold a one of the last copies of the watch ( yes I know its a sales pitch) and he thought I might be interested.

I really couldn't say no as I've been looking for a unique blue dial watch for ages, and this forum and the users here were quite helpful and I did some research and ordered it.

No regrets it is one gorgeous speedmaster with a unique blue dial and the gold accents are very subtle more texture rather than bling.

...and Apollo 13 25th, Gemini 4, Japan Racing, Mitsukoshi, Tintin, Apollo-Soyuz Meteorite, Apollo 11 20th, 11 25th, 11 35th Panda, 11 45th Titanium, and most recently some Tokyo Olympics... all above their MSRPs, some more than double.
That’s correct. Is there any LE Speedmaster with current market price below MSRP? Apollo 17 40th could be one, as discussed above, but is there any other?

I can’t wait to see if the new Snoopy will be LE or not. Making it limited production, not LE, would not surprise me. Actually that would be another proof that Omega goes “the Rolex way”.

I know Apollo 17 35th is definitely below MSRP. Nobody seems to be buying. It's still available on Omega website.

CK2998s I think dipped below MSRP after release. But currently they seem to be rising up again as fewer pieces are circulating on secondary market. Also the 60th Anniversary CK2915 reissue I believe is still hovering below MSRP. I'd say any production number much larger than 2000pcs might experience a dip shortly after release. But if design is nice or has mass-appeal like Apollo 11/2003 Snoopy, it might still end up being higher than MSRP.

Is there any Apollo 17 35th?! Or do you mean Apollo 17 30th?

Edit: just checked mine - ref. 3574.51.00, Apollo 17 30th Anniversary, 3000pcs LE. I think there is no 35th Anniversary model for Apollo 17 mission. Or am I wrong?
