I am going to call my contact at the OB on Monday for a full and frank discussion with my contact there who I have a longstanding relationship with.
I have had several watches from them, mainly LE's and my deposit was in on day one. Will report back on what is shared.

I did the exact same. I see that you ordered black...I went white! :)

You can't go wrong either way really.

I have a nice mint Daytona 116520 white dial so that pushed me to the dark side!

I have to say the Zenith is pretty nice. Very daytona like.
That said i see lots on Chrono for below retail price already.

And people are buying for these crazy prices, the listings are new ones, the older ones are already sold....

As OB are saying, each piece is being tracked with the buyer's name. I was wondering how would they find out If one is sold over retail price until it goes to Omega service.
I don't think they will search for serial numbers in advertisements and things like that and then ban for lifetime the flipper.
    What do you think?

I think you’ve answered your own question to an extent.

While there may be some bluster being spoken, it’s just not possible for them to do on any sort of scale really. People cover serials up in adverts so as you say the first point of note could potentially be a service in 5/10 years time.

omega know this will be flipped by some and that some of the demand is on the back of the potential resale value. If they come up with these stories it appeases some individuals. No doubt there is some Pre sale vetting they can do but likely not that much and it ain’t working in any case - hardly any watches have been delivered and yet we are seeing a good few pop up and sell (apparently) on C24 and the like at large premiums.

I suspect much of this stuff being spouted by OB’s fuels the fire of this as much as it solves it in all honesty. Omega must be loving it. They have a hottie which gives them a piece of the limelight usually reserved for Rolex etc. And a watch the Insta brigade will create further demand for.

There really is no "mechanism" per se. The post of the chronograph wheel is extended longer, and the hand with the ship on it is pressed onto that like a regular hand is mounted - it fits onto the longer post. Same for the post of the fourth wheel (which has the constant seconds hand at 9 on the dial side fitted to it) - it is extended and the earth disk is pressed on. The rest is just a series of pieces that cover specific areas behind the case back. It's incredibly simple...the movement modification amounts to extending the posts on 2 wheels - that all.

Not a complex complication, but the Snoopy is simply stunning :)

I thought it also came on a buckle, not a deployant?

Yep, I noticed the red stitches too.
When I asked the OB told me they would consider giving me a deployant...
So I guess that is a possibility at this point.

If they give you a deployant then you need a new strap, too.

Omega OEM straps aren't normally interchangeable between pin buckle and deployant clasp.

Doesn’t look like a factory strap.

It looks the trajectory of Apollo 13 is missing, there is an “Omega BJC” inscription inside.
The outside looks pretty similar, besides the clasp.
Hey, at least something new to see!
Otherwise we can go back to lists and allocations :)
