October 5th 2020 - Snoopy Celebration

Depends if he bought 4 SS sports models (unlikely but possible) or he bought a bunch of ladies models or PM models. Buying nothing but SS models doesn’t really help much.

I Bought the following over 24 months,

Original Batman
New Batman
New Pepsi
Sub with Date
Explorer 2 polar
& now the Daytona = 6 in total

Plus
Tudor BB Chrono dark
Tudor GMT
Tudor BB 58 Blue = 3 in Total

So 9 watches in last 2 years........................don't feel lucky and definitely no VIP. I just pitch up and pay up.

You are the ideal customer for all the brands and you will always find available watches...

I agree, so that means that the way Omega is handling this watch is unlikely to “devalue” the brand as has been suggested.

OK fair enough. But either way, I still don't think they will make enough for demand to be 100% met and I don't think we will see many more than 5k a year the first year or two and substantial less after that, which had been suggested elsewhere, and makes sense to me.

Whatever that means, I'm not sure!

Hope we start seeing them soon...

I had a chat with someone online at Mappin & Webb about the Snoopy earlier today. They told me it could be the middle of next year when they receive them in.

Omega have made a massive mistake with the premature release then non supply of this Snoopy, I don't think i will be the last one to pull a deposit in frustration of no news and extensive wait.

There may well be a fair few customers pulling their deposits, especially with the 3861 Speedy leak.

I know that there were a number of factors influencing these delays. I wonder if the move to announce on October 5th, without the capacity to ramp up production and distribution straightaway, was in hindsight a mistake.

For sure - it will be boutiques first I expect - is always the way unfortunately. My AD thinks end Q1/beginning q2 but of course all of these conversations are speculation - I wouldn’t be surprised if they were later. They have form.....

It’s only been 2 months. I know it’s gone a bit radio silent but there is generally a lead time....
