If you know the name of that person, then I'm afraid you are eligible to wear an Octo...

I just can't stop looking at this thing. I can find it for $9,500 in titanium. Am I crazy to spend this much on it? I could get a racing speedy for a lot less. I could get a few Omegas for this.

It's also weird cuz I don't like titanium watches usually because I wear a speedy mark ii so I like heft, but this thing just oozes cool. Thoughts?

Oh I also love the GO seventies chrono. Anyone had that? Similar price so have to consider...

First time poster here. The thread is 2 years old but i hope you see this because we like the same watches!

I have both Octo Fin. And GO70s!

The GOs was the firsr watch i bought when i started to like watches. I got a grey dial with steel bracelet but i later bought a rubber strap for it. I have a small wrist and the GO is a bit too hefty, so the rubber really lighten the load and it look much better to me.

I can tell you that the GO dial blow me away every time. The white gold arrow marker, the steps in all the windows, the fine font all stood out in comparison to sport Rolex.

Ive bought a few more watches after that GO, GMT, AirKing, JLC Reverso, Patek Calatrava. I would love an AP Royal Oak, but they are impossible to get for the popular one.

Then i discovered the Octo and it tick so many boxes. Its thin, its got different aesthetics (italian's rustic taste), its futurisric, and just so cool. I finally one and its quite special:

Here is the Octo Finnissimo Skeleton Harrods Limited Edition (1 of 12) black ceramic. Green is my favourite color and this is my first ceramic watch. This thing wear so comfortably, and its unlike any watches out there. Quite hard to read the time though, lol. Because its ceramic, gotta be a bit careful wearing it. If they make an Octo steel with green dial, i might just have to sell my AirKing to get another one, lol.

I almost bought one. They look super cool. But where do you even go to service the watch? It’s not like Omega or Rolex with we established service centers.

Swatch group owns GOs. So i take it to their service center for strap adjustment. They seem to have a room full of technician so i think they could do any repair provided that parts were shipped to them.
Same deal with Bvlgari. I take it to any of their branches. But if any repair is needed, i dont know if they will have to ship it overseas.

This silver dial keep growing on me. So subtle and elegant.

It is still my current favorite after 2 months ( and after collected a black 116500ln and code11.59) ! Fitting is perfect for my small wrist as it wraps like a second skin..The black and blue are gorgeous too and it will be very hard to decide the color…Imo, the best way to decide is to try it under natural lightning (outside the boutique) and have the plastic wrapper removed.

Attached below to show how well it fitted my wirst which is slightly below 6.5” sorry for the poor photo quality.

I tried the original, 1st gen. titanium version on a leather strap at a Bulgari boutique when it first came out. I really, really liked it.

I think Bulgari have nailed it when it comes to a modern (not vintage-inspired) watch and that's not easy to do.

Whatever floats your boat. Personally, I’m not into the watch, but, then again, I find both the Patek Philippe models, which seem to be the rage, the Nautilus and Aquanaut, rather unappealing.
As always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Without a doubt. Good call.
