Like it or not, the HE valve is part of the Seamaster 300M identity now. There’s probably as much likelihood for removing it as removing the Omega logo from the dial.
You are correct.
A Seamaster 300 without the He valve makes no sense.
It goes hand in hand with that model.
I personally love the look of the He valve.

I spent a long time swapping between the steel seamaster and this one in the store, trying to decide and justify the difference in price, but went with the ceramic one and love it! My wrists aren’t big but it looks fine...

I definitely agree that a deployant would have been preferable to the pin buckle. On one hand, this strap with the pin buckle does feel a bit more comfortable than my PO with the rubber strap and deployant. On the other hand, the deployant would make having a ceramic watch a bit less nerve wracking.

I’ve doodled a couple of options that I’m considering based on existing Omega straps.

First, the brown leather from the vintage DSOTM

Then the cordura from the DSOTM

Any thoughts on these? Other candidates?

I like it with the cordura! Should be an OEM choice!

Yeah a corduroy strap with deployant would look the business. Currently working out a deal for this watch with a local dealer .

Mine with the backdrop from the top of the Burj Khalifa today. Noticed how good it glows in the dark in the lift up and down. The light weight and strap comfort is noticeable compared to the steel version I tried on.

Thanks for the post and pictures. This is finally a worthy successor to the 2254.50 Skeleton hands are not my preference .... but the watch is outstanding in every way.

Titanium is the new gold ..... far better than stainless. I think it's the watch material of the future!

Enjoy your purchase.

Indeed, the valve is what makes this Diver unique and more appealing.....for me anyhow.

I have the 42 mm model in both black and blue. I bought them and never really wear them as crazy as that sounds. I tend to like larger faced watches, nothing huge, but 43-44mm seem to fit my 7.25" wrist well.

I am thinking about moving both of those on and getting the larger reference you have - great looking piece btw and congrats.

Lightweight I’m sure. Does it seem durable?

Had one for a bit, but had to let it go. An absolute stunner, but really wish it was 41.5mm...

So it wore big?

I felt it did. Despite the darker color and the lightness of the materials, its still a 43.5mm watch. I have a 7" wrist and it was just slightly too much...

I made the mistake of one time buying a 46mm Navitimer. It seemed great when I put it on but over time I realized it was a mistake

.

I have a 7” wrist and feel it’s perfect , coming from a SMP 41.5 , I always wanted a bit more wrist presence.
And with this being subtle in design , it’s not too much .

Would love to see this one side by side with the black steel model just to see the differences of both dials.....
