··Omega Qualified WatchmakerThat’s my thought too. The two functions should be independent of each other. And the date should not change until after midnight, not before.
The crown on my co-axial Speedmaster doesn’t move at all. I’ve never heard of one doing so without there being something wrong. I’d take it for warranty service.
I've already explained how this could happen - not related but a jolt can make the date flip if it's in progress. And the tolerance for the date change is +/- 10 minutes of midnight, so it can change from 11:50 PM until 12;10 AM and still be in tolerance. There's nothing wrong with the OP's watch.
