I received all materials, including shipping boxes, hang tag, and all the plastic, for both my ST1 and ST2. Both purchased from the Tysons Corner, VA OB.

I received all materials (plastic shell, hang tag, etc.) in perfect condition from the OB in Scottsdale, AZ (USA). At first they misplaced the outer box (tan) but called me later and asked if I wanted it. I picked it up a week later.

I received my ST2 with a divot/dent in the orange limited edition hexagonal card. Any thoughts on if Omega will be able to replace this or should I just live with it?

I didn’t push the OB to change becuase it has the LE number printed so it will be hard to replace it. But the damaged box like yours will be easier to replace so I would make the request.

Also I got the plastic coffin and hangtag but no brown outside cardboard box.

I picked mine up last month from the Chicago boutique. I just checked and I didn’t get a hang tag or coffin box either. It never occurred to me to ask for them though.

Thanks everyone for the input. I reached out to Mr Aeschilmann and we’ll see if he responds.

...the Chicago OB.
I hope that you’re able to resolve the situation with the Chicago OB and/or Omega.

And for the record, it’s not my fault...

I believe a lot of folks out there who would "cut of their limbs off" to have this watch. I would be upset as well but at the end of the day you have a pretty nice watch. So move on life cannot be always perfect
I recently had my ST2 delivered to me from the Chicago OB. Prior to delivery, I asked their manager to include all it’s packaging material including boxes and papers which I was assured he’d include. Upon receiving the watch, I noticed the outer Omega box had damage to it and the watch was missing its plastic packing shell and hang tag.

After inquiring about these issues, I was informed that the box came damaged from Switzerland and that instead of delaying my receipt of the watch the OB decided to ship it to me anyway. The OB told me they informed the corporate office regarding the box damage but are unable to give me a timeline regarding resolution of the matter. I’m rather upset that the damage wasn’t disclosed prior to selling the watch to me.

Also, I was informed that it’s company policy to not provide customers with the plastic shell and hang tags and thus these items were sent back to corporate. Therefore I won’t be provided these items. Yet I’ve seen others who purchased the ST2 actually receive the plastic shell and tags.

Although I like the watch, I don’t know what recourse to take aside from indefinitely waiting for the OB to inform me of any resolution. Has anyone experienced something similar and do you have any suggestions?

Got everything from the OB in my case, so seems that is being done by only some boutiques / AD’s

No tags are a dealbreaker for me, but the inclusion of the plastic coffin bothers me much less. Seems like some dealers don't hang on to 'em once a watch is stocked, others do.

Be sure to update us.

I hope you had some harsh words in your email. Otherwise, the secretary will just filter your email out, without flagging it to the department.

With my ST1 I got absolutely everything inc the brown outer box.

My ST2 was missing the outer box and the plastic coffin. I never thought to ask about the outer box tbh. I did ask about the coffin and the Manager went looking but came up empty handed, he gave me an Omega Service Case and a promise to find me another plastic coffin at a later date.

Given all of the angst over getting a warranty card and stickers left in place on a Rolex Professional Watch I’m not actually bothered about the missing coffin. If I get one at another time great but I’m not going to lose sleep over it.

I would be pissed off if the black cardboard box was dinged or worse still the wooden box...!

So far nothing from the CEO nor anything further from the OB regarding the matter. I contacted him well over a week ago.

Plastic coffins, tag and outer brown boxes are not released to retail buyers according to Singapore OB. Enjoy the watch. It will make your life a bit easier.

If you still lose sleep, flip it for a tidy profit. Hunt another down with the items you want. Quite a bit of hassle but i think easier than trying to recover those items from Omega. You might loose a couple of hundreds in the process though due to shipping and difference sell/buy price.

Just my 2 cents. I will be delighted to walk into an OB and pay retail for my Ultraman though. Try using this as an consolation if all fails.

It does not matter what the Singapore OB does, it is not true.

I will have to try harder next time then. Though i suspect it will be futile locally.

Is this really the policy there? What about in Japan?

It is as per OB advice in Singapore. Other members here disagree though. I am not too bothered but that's just me.

Cannot comment on Japan. Since it's a customer service oriented country, you stand a good chance if other members here are correct.

I picked mine up at an AD in Windsor Canada. They were very cautious and made it crystal clear they were going to follow all of the rules and requests per Omega. They took a photo of my drivers license along with bill of sale (I believe), they filled in the warranty card and even had me submit a picture of me wearing the watch. I give this background to show they were carefully following Omega’s request to the ‘letter of the law’.

They gave me the outer and inner boxes, coffin, hang tag, all stickers, etc. Any OB or AD not providing these things is naive at best or just lying to you. It’s a shame really, such minor things that can make for a negative experience, would be so easy for them to get this right and make for a better experience.

Omega's rule is to have you submit a photo of yourself wearing the watch?? Incredible! Next they'll say they need a DNA swab lol
