I agree 👍

I use my "never fail" Huntsman catcher to safely transport visitor outside. Works well with a clear container also but a bit unnerving when you actually see it move towards your hand 😲

PLUS
I prefer to use a Peters ice cream container for this type of spider...

I had the pleasure today of being guided by one of our leading birdwatchers, and consequently, of seeing one of our most endangered birds, the Orange Bellied Parrot. All photos taken with my Panasonic Lumix TMZ-30.

Another elusive bird was the Australian Spotted Crake.

A visitor from Scotland was leaving as we came through the gate and our guide asked him how he went. “I wanted to see a crake” he said. T said follow me and only ten minutes later, we found some in a really swampy area.
It pays to go with an expert 1f609.png .

This one is exhibiting: they constantly flick their tail to reveal a white patch of plumage, and if they are disturbed, they may run in a crouched posture with the tail cocked.

Is it a stump?

Maybe a Tawny Frogmouth waiting for nightfall.

And finally, somebody enjoying the afternoon sun.

Don't panic! My daughter and I still have ours!

(thanks to a stupid driver hitting us head-on Dec 2014)
One of my Nephews had a similar set of plates , in his case he was the victim of a serial killer who was deliberately running down motorcycle riders on an interstate. The killer turned out to be a LEO who liked to kill bikers on his off hours.
My nephew survived though he was pronounced dead at the scene. moving him into a body bag apparently gave his heart a jump start. He was nearly exsanguinated but after many transfusions and surgeries he made it.

There was a road house restaurant not far from here that may have been the inspiration for the horror film "Motel Hell".
Instead of grinding up victims into sausage the owner poisoned late night dinners in order to steal their luxury cars and have an accomplice sell them in Mexico at a high price.
He fed the corpses to his hogs then fed the hogs to his customers.
A County Deputy serving legal papers for unrelated reasons spotted a wedding band in the hog pen. That would not have been enough to prove anything but on sifting through the muck in the pen they discovered surgical pins with serial numbers that could be traced to missing persons.
A few years back some guy living near there killed his wife and made a key ring from her knee cap and various art objects from other bones. When a friend came by to ask about her he cut that guy's head off and kept it in bucket to show to anyone he met. it took awhile before people realized it was not a Halloween prop head.
That area is well known for gruesome murders going back to the days of "Big and Little Harp" real life road agents mentioned in the play "The Devil and Daniel Webster".

Wow, somehow that story does not reassure me, of anything. But glad your nephew survived, regardless of the need for counseling or an emotional support dog (moi).
