Not a hesalite vs sapphire question

Based on my Speedmaster research, I had decided on sapphire, based on the applied logo, exhibition back, and strength of the crystal (bracelet is nicer looking too).

However, when I went to the AD and saw them both together, i felt the Hesalite was a much better looking watch. By a lot.

Thank goodness they didn't have the Hesalite in stock (with only an exhibition model in the case), or I would have bought it on the spot.

Now the only thing preventing me from getting the Hesalite is that it does not have the applied logo (the exhibition back is no longer important).

Did the original moonwatch have an applied or printed logo?

Is it possible to buy the Hesalite and then have the dial replaced with one with the applied logo?

are the dials interchangeable?

I chose the Sapphire Sandwich for several reasons.Having had an 1831 Hesalite, and wanting to wear a speedy every day, without carrying a tube of Polywatch, I choose Sapphire. Also wanted the exhibition back, the applied logo is nice, but not visible most of the time. In the end, get what pleases you most as issued, Omega generally won't change parts between models (no frankenwatches) perhaps a Watchmaker who has access to parts could do this, but would likely create warranty issues. I've worn my Sapphire Sandwich for almost 2 years without a scratch, and really enjoy the exhibition back. The Sapphire also wears a bit easier as it's slightly thinner. Whichever version you decide, I am sure you will enjoy it.

Also keep in mind that the applied logo on the new sapphire Speedmaster looks nothing like the old style applied logo that the older models had. The new one is basically the modern logo, but applied.
