·Offered for sale is a New Old Stock (NOS) Omega Speedmaster 145.022-78 mid case, dial, set of 6 hands, crown, pushers, crystal, bezel and caseback.
I’ve reluctantly decided to sell this unused NOS item in order to free up some funds for another purchase.
All original and vintage components for this 145.022-78 Speedy. All that’s missing for a complete watch is the cal. 861 movement and dust cover.
I’ve seen such an item described as a “dummy” case. It’s obviously extremely rare to have a circa 45 year old Speedy in NOS condition.
In terms of condition the case is close to perfect but it does have very minor superficial marks from handling, including to the underneath of the lugs.
Singer dial, hands, crystal, bezel crown and pushers are perfect and the tritium on the dial and hands have acquired a light and even patina.
All photos were taken by me yesterday in natural outdoor light. If you require any additional photos please don’t hesitate to ask.
To date here on OF I’ve sold one watch in a seamless transaction for in excess of €4k. Feedback is available in the sellers review section. I’ve also been on eBay since 2003 (same username) with over 3,000 feedbacks received to date (mainly purchases!!).
Price/ Shipping
As of Sep ‘23 the price has been reduced further to €3,200 OBRO net to me. The price is modest when compared to the suggested price/ value of an excellent condition 145.022-78 according to the Speedmaster101.com price chart.
The watch and I are located in Ireland and a face to face transaction is always preferable (with travel to the UK a distinct option). Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or wish to discuss.
I pride myself in being easy to deal with and flexible and will accept a no quibble return within what we both agree is a reasonable time frame. I’m also open to payment after delivery depending on the other party’s OF history.
Thanks to this great forum for the space.
