Noob question on Omega 14K bezel

Hello OF members.
I cannot find conclusive answers on Omega 14K bezel materials.
Let's say: a case for a ref stamped "14K gold cap" is made from stainless steel, lugs are "gold rolled", thin layer of gold on stainless steel case.
So is the bezel or it is 14K solid gold.
Thank you in advance.

The bezel on a gold-capped watch is generally solid gold alloy IIRC (not plated or capped). I can't say if it's 14k, but I would assume that it's usually the same composition as the cap layer.

I think so too. I had a 2627 without a bezel and when I called Omega about it decades ago when you could still do such things, they said it was solid gold. I had to send them the watch for installation, but they didn't charge extra. Wish I remembered what it cost!
