But I have! Was a bit irritated on first sight, but anything was possible in the mid 70s 😁

Brilliant! Did you fall in love with it later on, like I have?

As I understand it the 5,4,3,2,1 usually in red on the sub dial was the 5 minute countdown to the start of a Yacht race. Wasn’t the idea behind this watch a “everything watch”. Driving, boating, diving, flying, was ther anything else at the time?

Hi,
IMHO it depends on the condition of the particular watch, same as for your Avatar Rolex GMT. For an all original V92 Croton I would roughly guess between 1,5 and 2,5k USD recently (without the "book factor". IMO the prices in Europe for the Nivada models look significantly higher than the prices for the "Croton" in the US. So quiie a lot "drivers" in the game at the moment.
Good luck !

Just wondering if this one will be included in the Book?

No, it is not included in the book. The book contains only the "Chronograph/Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver" labelled models.

Hi OF friend and thanks for posting your beauty.
This configuration is IMO not shown in the book and you have to investigate what is off.
But the watch looks very nice still ! 👍

I was afraid of that. A book still has not arrived yet, so cant check it myself. Thanks for letting me know.
I have an option to give it back to the owner for return of money, so will consider it too. The price seemed to good for val. 23. So he probably knew that, but didnt say a word. Tomas

Fascinating and great information. Thank you all for sharing.

After reading this thread I am seriously considering having one. But one question though, it appears that all these watches regardless of the brand name are very similar as far as the case, movement and looks are concerned. So, in what order would you rank Nivada, Wittnauer, Croton and other CASD watches based on quality, value and desirability. Which brand retains value most.

Just based on looks I like both the Wittnauer and the Nivada Grenchen. Appreciate the help.
