Ah yes. I overlooked the clear crystal on the black one. I think they make the GV crystals with the black face but stopped using the clear crystal

I love the blue dial and the greenish tint in the crystal (which I assume is due to the lead content)

Yup! Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of the green crystal... the black dials are a little different too!

I vote white, with the caveat that white dials tend to wear bigger, so the presence has to be right. Black and orange make me think Halloween, but I think that’s just me.

I vote Black, it's simply a lot nicer on the wrist and the orange and white simply pop!

I'm not a fan of the non-matching lume of the hands and dial hardware of the white one, it just looks off in my opinion.

Even though I recently bought the explorer 2 in white, over black, I feel in this I instance the black looks best.

Actually eyeing up the Milgauss myself as the potential next purchase. However, for me it would have to be the blue hands down.

Go with your gut and first instinct. Don't second guess yourself, there are no wrong choices here!! 😀

Totally agree. In fact I don't like the colour of the lume on the white at all. It's like a pee colour!!

I owned a GV for 3 years before selling it.
1st thing is this watch is a scratch magnet PCLs and bezel mean loads of hairline scratches appear. Nothing nasty or that a 7 year service won’t sort but they are always there. That’s why I sold it.
2nd thing is that the white dial is discontinued already, no guide to the future but when the original Milgauss was pulled due to unpopularity later they went through the roof price wise. Volumes dictate things differently these days but if it’s to keep then go for the white to enjoy and it has the added bonus of being a long term investment. Only made them between 2008 and 2016 so pretty short run.
If non of this matters to you, buy the one you connect with.
Either way cool watch,

Your own wrist shots make me vote white.

White really pops on your wrist and looks quite nice.

Black for me but if I could throw a curve ball...what about the OP 39 white? White is a creamy shade, case is thinner and less weighty.

OP white would be an interesting comparison

The black dial Milgauss is quite high up on my list for my next purchase

Good luck!

White. Its an interesting dial / color comb and makes you stare at it for a long time for no reason. 😀

I have had the black dial version, but I sold it and replaced it with my current white dial. Couldn't be happier with that decision. My only and fav modern Rolex.

But its not for the people that want a Rolex to looks like all the other Rolex(es).

Ok well what other watches do you own?
Or rather, what dials do you have on your other watches?
This could be your chance to get something a bit different, something that stands out in your collection.
Both look good, but think about the big picture.
When are you most likely going to wear the watch? In what environments?
Do you need/want something that will "pop" a bit more? Or do you want something that will blend in a little better?
Will you be wanting to change from the bracelet to a strap to time to time? If so, what straps?
And do you already have some that would look better on one than the other? Are there any you want that would make a good combo with the watch that you would choose?
These are just questions I would be asking myself, but as always, at the end of the day, it's all up to you.
+1
This is actually a great checklist to go through when you consider adding a new watch.
As much as I try to follow whatever answers I get when I ask myself some of these questions, I always come back to the watch itself and what I think of it. Disregarding what I already have in my collection and how it might look on another strap...

Aaaaand that is how you end up buying a lot of black dials ::facepalm1::
