Finally ready to purchase a Speedmaster Racing Chronograph. I am torn between the white and black dial. Suggestion as to which one is maybe a better option? Thank you!

Personal choice. I prefer the black, will be easier to wear and will appear smaller on the wrist.

I love my white dial racing watch and revert over to the classic Moonwatch when I want a black dial. If you like big watches, this is a great modern Speedy!!

I have the white dial version and love it. I wear it on the bracelet or a custom black nylon strap from Jean Rousseau. I went with the white dial for readability.

IMO get the white. It "pops" more, is more readable, and I think it will age better than the black dialed version you showed. I don't think the orange hands and other use of the color will be appreciated as much in the future.

“That would be an ecumenical matter”

I am biased - I have the black with the black/orange leather strap. I think that's the one to get, personally. The orange accents and the subtle orange accents inside the strap give it a really nice motorsports feel and is plenty different from the traditional Speedy Pro.

They both look great, but If you already have, or plan to purchase a standard moonwatch, get the white racing chrono! Also, that white dial has an almost platinum-like frosty look, which is very attractive.

Black is more versatile, and consistent with Speedy heritage, but I prefer white 😀

Can’t go wrong with either. Both look great. Ever so slightly white for me.

I will prefer the black one. I think you will not accomplish many with this thread because the opinions are always divided. For this one i think you will get 50-50 😀

I already have several omegas with black dials. So I got the white version because IMHO it looks sportier. I also got a brown racing strap from The Strap Tailor. I live in Florida and because of the hot climate I thought that combo would fit in better. On the other hand, if you tend to dress up more then perhaps the black version. Ultimately, you can’t go wrong either way.

Not that I want to highjack your post. But by any chance had anyone attempted to fit the 20 mm Rubber B Moonswatch strap on the 44.25 Racing Speedmaster? Its only 1 mm difference, but I don’t want to take any chances. Regards.

Congrats on the new watch! I was just about to comment on a distinct feature that I find special on my white dial then saw your new purchase!

Anyways, for other people considering the same options.... take a look at the extra detail of the black rings around each of the two sub-dials! They're like eyes looking back at you! Lol. Neither the black or grey dials have this colour contrast.
