I suppose it depends on what you're doing at the construction site. If there's a chance that it'll drop into the pour and become part of the foundation, I'd maybe have a G-Shock for those days. Or if the crew is going to rip it off your arm, push you into the pour and YOU become part of the foundation, I'd maybe have an Invicta for those days (jokes on them). But if you and the Teamsters are meeting at the site to discuss trash removal, you probably need to show up wearing a gold Presidential. Otherwise, if you're not overly worried about getting it banged up, and a little sweat under a leather band doesn't bother you, I think most people would say to wear what you enjoy wearing. If you don't enjoy wearing it, it doesn't matter where you are.

And if you liked @STANDY 's Heuer suggestions, also take a look at the Carrera chronographs. I particularly like the 1964 re-issue:

This is my current collection. 1991 Speedy 3592.50 Apollo XI, 1989 Seamaster Automatic 200m, Antique left hand omega serial 4,321,*** dates it about 1909 (I will be replacing that strap with a nice croc dress soon) and a Casio Protrek for real adventures.

Background: I dress business casual for work (almost always wear the speedy, it really goes great on all my straps) I prefer tool watches but have found myself needing a dressier watch recently. I have looked into both the Blue Skyfall AT and the Polar Explorer II 16570 to add more color, but they're completely different watches. I really want that beach to board room watch that I can appreciate as much as the Speedy.

Any input here would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

A couple questions before I offer an opinion:

1. What is your budget?
2. What is your collection plans after this purchase? For example do you plan to add a watch each year, or is your collection "complete" for the time being? Seems like you are a "fit for purpose" type of collector, much like myself.

Great current collection, btw

My answer will always be a Tudor BB58 (which is the next one on my list).
I think any collection should have one.

1. What is your budget? Im trying to stay below 5k
2. What is your collection plans after this purchase? For example do you plan to add a watch each year, or is your collection "complete" for the time being? Seems like you are a "fit for purpose" type of collector, much like myself. Great question! Haha. I don’t know if my collection will ever be “complete”. And my next purchase after this will depend on this purchase. If I stay with a “dressy” took watch, I’ll probably get an actual dress watch. I love the vintage Seamasters but I think I’ll have to have the JLC moon already mentioned eventually.

Great current collection, btw
. Thank you!
