·Think it will be expensive to do in natural wood, as you say you have to cut it and then wastage from imperfect parts been cut away, it could turn out to be an expensive process and then watch price increases.
I like new box and perhaps it is a little to big for a single watch as mentioned earlier but i am not complaining.
I like to disagree. Some sorts of wood - beech or cherry tree - are inexpensive and easy to machine. A CAM process is required to make the manufacturing cheap. The cost of the wood for the box is less than one dollar. In fact all the material involved is cheap. The costly process of the assembly matters most. Should be made in China, air cargo flown to Switzerland. There is no way a massive wood box would increase the price of the watch. Other than Omega marketing thinks the watch has more value because of the nicer box.
