New vs Old SMP bracelet compatibility?

Hello, my apologies if this was discussed in a prior thread. But just curious if anyone has tried fitting the previous generation ceramic SMP bracelet to the new 2018 SMP case. I am aware the share the same lug-width but due to the larger case does that impact the lug hole placement. I much prefer the look and feel of the previous generation bracelet and was curious if it works with the new version.

Welcome! I too, prefer the older generation SMP's bracelet. I haven't tried this myself, but my hypothesis is it will not fit. Primary reason being the position of the spring-bar holes, in relation to the lug interiors.

Given that the case is taller, and the bracelet is fatter on the new generation... my working assumption is that the relative distance of the lug-holes to the top & bottom of the lugs, are not equal between the 2 generations' cases and bracelets.

Thank you so much! I currently own the previous generation SMP ceramic black dial and really love the look and feel of the bracelet. I was on the fence with possibly trading up for the new blue dial as it has really grown on me over the years but still that new bracelet just doesn't have that same magic and appears to look a bit cheap IMHO.

Omega if you're listening, bring back the old bracelet but keep the clasp and new dial as it is stunning!
