Hi All! I'm trying to find a modern era steel bracelet for my Speedy Pro 145.012. My goal is to get a steel bracelet with overall look similar to the original 1039 bracelet, but modern construction and quality. I know the 1171 can be ordered from Omega on demand but it's not the look I'm going for. The look of the bracelets on the re-editions from recent years is what I have in mind -- e.g. the bracelets on the Speedmaster '57 9300, and the new 2017 60th anniversary piece.

It seems the bracelet made for the latter (the new anniversary edition) won't work because the lug width is 19mm, but I'm wondering if the bracelet and endlinks from the Speedmaster '57 9300 may work? The lug width of that piece is 20mm (same as the 145.012) but the case diameter is 0.5mm smaller, and I have no idea as to the whether the location of the case/lug holes will allow compatibility, even if the case size difference is a non-issue.

This is turning into quite the research project, and I figure there are others out there with pieces from the 60's who may have similar thinking on wanting to get a modern bracelet that looks like the 1039 but is more solid / wearable, and possibly less expensive too (as 1030's are going for $1k+ and finding one in good condition seems to be almost impossible).

The 1116 bracelet on 575 end pieces is also correct for a 145.012 and still relatively affordable (and a lot less brittle) compared to a 1039, but I reckon if the 1171 is dismissed, this one might not be your taste either.

I have a 1116 on my 145.012, but I too would like a flat link bracelet.

I'm with you. The first thing I thought when I saw the anniversary models was "modern flat link bracelet. Wonder if it will fit." The fact that a lot of the FOIS guys got vintage bracelets with 19mm end links to work would lead me to think that there should be some compatibility going the other way.

1175 with 640 or 48 ends. Not modern, but not an older stretch link bracelet either.

First of all great watch! The bracelet is correct on there but as you suggested not the look I have in mind. Thank you for replying though!
