I became interested in watches some time ago. I’ve had pretty bland watches mostly. However, I listened to the Watch and Listen Podcast with Matt Farah and Cameron Weiss (Weiss Watch Company).

I’m on a trip to Peru and discovered a thriving vintage watch area of Miraflores. It’s interesting because they’ll point out any fakes they sell, but mostly they have the genuine article.

I purchased an Omega Seamaster DeVille, 562 Caliber, ref. CD 166.002. It’s small but I really love it.

Welcome to OF! Is the 7:00 lug a bit bent? You’ll want to address that before your watch disappears off your wrist. Share a pic of the dial with us?

Stick around the forum, sounds like you’ll have interesting stories to tell

Hi!

I can not be a ref. 166.020 Seamaster De Ville, since this ref. is a front loader and therefor it dont have a screw in back case.

This is the back of a ref. 166.020

I’d be interested in the location if you would share? I’m currently in Arequipa and will be in Lima (Miraflores in 4-5 days time). Thank you

It’s in Miraflores on Schell Street . There are a dozen watch stores in the area around the Casa Andina Hotel.
