路I've had the watch bug for a while but recently jumped into the Omega pool with both feet! Finding this site has provided a wealth of information. Last month I treated myself to a pre-retirement gift of a Planet Ocean, and at the same time, bought my son a No Time To Die, and his girlfriend an Aqua Terra. I figured that would scratch my itch for a bit. I was back at the AD last Friday and couldn't resist when I saw an Speedmaster 3861 on the black mesh strap so it followed me home as well. The very next day, while skeet shooting, a piece of target hit the Hesalite and now I have a new scratch on my Speedmaster !!!
The owner's manual says to wind the Speedmaster until it stops (and cautions about overwinding) but I'm curious as to what "stops" means exactly. When I wind mine, I reach a point where the crown starts to reverse itself but I could continue to wind as it doesn't actually stop! Using the search tool it would appear there should be a "hard stop" when winding so should I just ignore the reversing and keep winding?
Thanks for any input, I have a feeling there's still more Omega's in my future ...
