Still too high. For that kind of money you should get a correct watch with no excuses.

The hands are incorrect as well, they are too short, the minute and second hand should extend out to the second track.

Oh not good I guess what should she have paid you say the hands are to short but I have see other 1956 models with the same handsHere is my solid 18K 2846 (501 movement) for comparison, I have posted it a few times recently so apologies if anyone is bored!:

The seconds tracks are in different places, inside the figures and outside the figures, hence the different length hands.

I don't think anyone here would purchase the watch regardless of the price, it's incorrect in numerous ways and this is a collectors forum where these things matter.

You don’t need to be a collector to be a member here. He’s simply saying you’re going to get advice and feedback from a collector’s perspective. As was stated previously, if you like the watch just wear it and enjoy it as a nice gift from your wife.

Look, you have a genuine Omega watch with replaced hands, a heavily polished case and repainted dial.

It is not considered “fake” by any collector I know. However, these flaws do hurt the value significantly. If your wife can return it, she should. At that point, maybe some of us can help you pick something better.

It would also be helpful if you use punctuation and proper spelling. I know it is no longer considered fashionable among the younger generation, but it does help people understand what you are saying.
