Hi all new here and thank you for having me.
Just thought I would post about my new watch it’s the first vintage watch I have ever owned and love it.
It’s a 1956 seamaster in 18k pink gold think that’s what they call it .don’t really no much about the watch to be honest the only thing I was wondering is the crown a replacement as it is not the same pink gold as the case it is a normal gold colour it is marked with the omega logo. Well leave it at that for now thank you here are some pictures .any info on it would be great or what you think of it .

Welcome to OF! Someone more knowledgeable than myself will be able to help soon, but the placement of the indices looks a little off to me.

The crown is a replacement, the original would match gold colors.

Hi there thank you what do you mean

maybe it’s just the angle, but this doesn’t look like something Omega would do originally. Like I said, someone who knows more about these will be able to tell you.

From a collector point of view, a redial is a no go. It will affect the value.
However, don t forget that this is YOUR watch, if you like it, just get it serviced and enjoy it.
From my point of view, it is a nice looking watch as it is. Swap the crown for a pink gold one if you can. I am not sure if the one I pointed out on eBay is original, but at least it will look better than your yellow gold crown.

Your watch is not a fake. At some point the dial was probably damaged and repainted.

Some clear (in focus) straight on shots of the dial would help.
