Thanks guys. The pics only look decent because I shrunk them (i.e. they werent so well focused, but shrinking decreases resolution so things that are pixelated or out of focus become sharper).

@semper_shells iPhone 6 plus (had it for 3+ years now). Is quite tough holding the watch in one hand, then the big-ass phone in the other, still trying to use one finger to tap-focus and then go all the way to the 'snap' button which is far on that screen real estate...
I have the iphone 7 and can't imagine taking photos like this.

I think that I want to thank you, but these wrist shots are reminding me that I want one, or more, and it was just tax day.

@Sculler22 @jv91 T O T A L L Y with you guys on that. Luckily (with exception of the Speedy 60th LE) all the rest are going to be around for a while still...so plenty of time...

B blokk
By the way. Which was the favourite?

(Ignoring the Speedy 60th LE) That silver dialed Speedy Racing. That wasn't even presented at the front of the exhibition at Baselworld (it was 'strewn' sideways on its case-back, slanting away from the others, almost like an afterthought), and there was no indication of it before (we only get press images of the black/orange one), but it immediately caught my attention more than the rest. Just look at that dial...

Also cant help to wonder when Omega will drop LE's of these with panda/reverse-panda etc...

Any pics of the steel Apollo 17 by any chance??

@Ru4scuba Unfortunately not...

was any perceptible difference in fit/comfort between the new Racing Speedies and a standard XSOTM watch with the slight reduction in the bottom crystal...any follow-up comments from you would be highly appreciated馃榾

@Riviera Paradise Thanks. And thanks for asking. As someone with a 9300 steel moonwatch, I did not notice anything different in feel (but then again I had each watch on for max 5 minutes, mostly not tight fitting). What I can describe (using the earlier XYZ coordinates for reference) : with the current ones, the sapphire steps out from the steel part directly in Z almost 1mm more (more like 0.8mm), and then makes a flat bottom. With the new ones it tapers ever so slightly from the steel, is not stepped out in Z, and then makes a flat bottom. Perhaps folks with borderline wrists (i.e. for that size watch) might notice this ever-so-slight difference or make it fit better, but there was no perception of enhanced comfort.

Looks like the non-LE Railmaster has the potential to become the most controversial Omega for a long time. Either love it or hate it. I'm with the lovers, especially with the silver dial.

Thanks for sharing it! 馃憤

Some of the watches in the pics are dummy models. The final version good might look slightly different.

But still, thanks for sharing 馃憤

I remember them all as ticking, but (via photo-evidence) one that wasnt ticking was the Gene Cernan Gold ... the silver Railmasters were also not ticking (a point that bothered me until I popped the crowns back in and the started ticking) ...

Is that where these pieces are now? I might have to head up there and check them out before Saturday.

Hey @TMas, another Swissie, awesome 馃榾 Do you know of anymore nearby?

Yeah at the flagship store in Bahnhofstrasse. I would highly recommend it if you have the time. Sure, they will (mostly) be in stores in a couple of months, but not the limited editions (i.e. '57 LE Speedy).

Another thing I forgot to mention from my visit to the Flagship Store : they are still getting crazy amounts of calls for the Trilogy of reissues...

Sal眉! I have a Seamaster LE on order (assuming I can actually get my hands on it), and would love to see one in person, or at least one of the LEs. How did you know they were there?

Hoi!

Long-ish story 馃榾 Apologies in advance...here goes. The day before the official release at Baselworld of all the LE's I went to (try) order at Omega 馃榾 Talk about jumping the gun. They gave me 15/10 for enthusiasm etc. Was quite funny, they were super nice, told me a bunch of nonsense (in jest with big smiles, luckily I can be a funny guy too) about not knowing and that whatever is released will be done online (perhaps at midnight) like SpeedyTuesday etc. Ofcourse I knew they were talking a bunch of nonsense, so played along. The gentleman whom I spoke to told me about the LE printed 60th anniversary canvas with all the familiar Speedies on too...I left.

The next day round noon was the big announcement. So 30mins later guess where I was? Ofcourse similar story, this time they could actually confirm everything. Naturally I asked again about the LE print, which they prompty allocated to me. I couldnt take it straight away (biiiig box), as I was on bicycle. I promised to come fetch it after Baselworld (which I went to the following Saturday). By this time, I had already had a good chat with a lot of the friendly staff...

Following week, the weather was super nice and dry, so was cycling everyday. I went back to Omega on the following Saturday to fetch my print, had (again) a nice long chat with the friendly folk, and thats when they gave me an invite for this week. I didnt take the invite (prefer to not waste paper) but made an appointment in my calender : thus you dont need an invite, you simply show up, smile and ask them nicely if you can try out the Baselworld novelties. No problem.

Thats it. Go do it...will either make you very sad that you made the order, or very happy...for me it was the latter x5. Plus all the other watches...I would have loved to have tried on the Seamasters too...but I already spent about 1.5h on 8 watches...

Love the white dial racing on the bracelet.
Time and tide have put a good video of the Omega releases, with very good lighting. The white dial racing looks stunning on the black strap (check out 1:45)

Thanks for putting the 60th next to a TinTin, looking forward to seeing that comparison when I get the LE home sometime this summer!

That isn't a bad idea. Where can I get more arms? Two isnt nearly enough!
