Yeah, it's mostly the old guys that get grumpy about display backs. Tough crowd to please. Get off my lawn! 😉

I like them, as long as it doesn't contribute too much thickness to the case.

and as it's likely not a chrono, thickness may not be a worry. My 9300 titanium Seamaster PO fits nicely on rubber (though on small wrist)

Not sure what I am more excited about... All the Basel announcements or watching the 'for sale' sections explode as people clear house to buy new toys. 😁

... nice!!! ::rimshot:: except that clasp! 😒

What don't you like about the clasp? continuously extendable now to get the fit right without half-links

Clasp seems a scratch magnet. Besides, these days more creativity would be nice...no?

Looks like the sale of Watchco versions is going to take a hit once this comes out

Price is released, and the confirmation that there is a sensible option on case/bezel material. The only outstanding question for me.. what is the thickness?

41mm puts it on par with the 60s era SM300s, the CK2913 was slightly smaller wasn't it?

It looks like the lume would be lighter in real life 👍

Actually it looks like there are two very different versions of this SM300, one is more like a watchco Sm300 one is more like a CK2913. Very different bezels and dial colouring.

Overall a great effort - I would say B+ to A
I would have made the bezel just a bit thinner. My favorite thing about it - the vintage finish on the dial complete with the tiny pimples!

There are TWO versions of this watch that are quite different, I don't quite know whether one is an earlier prototype and the other is production, or if they are both being produced but the one on the right is definitely the cooler of the two IMHO

Maybe one is the "modern" and one is the "vintage" styled SM300? The one on the right is the version in ALL the Omega official material so you would assume its the one they'll be selling, and if it is, I want one!

Spot on Trev. I'm one of those... I don't like the new regulation in Formula One either 🤬
Yes, everything was better in the day...almost 😗
But mostly I'm hard to please. And with this new "2913", Omega is walking a very fine line (for a SM300 purist like me). Yes, I could just leave it alone and don't buy it, but I'm just compelled to comment on it and that's what this forum also it about, right? One likes the mother and one likes the daughter. I like the mother 😀
After seeing the latest pictures (those from Omega that is!) I would also take the daughter, even though she seems a bit larger and thicker than the mother 😬
But I still don't think that a see-through or gold/platin/diamants enhancements belong on a toolwatch/diver. It needs to be simpel, purposeful og to the point. And yes, I know no one uses them as a diver anymore and it's a brand/image thing, where you have to show of that nice inhouse movement bla. bla. bla. ...
But tell me... where do Omega put the Seahorse now? Is the Hippocampus going to die once and for all ..?🙁

i'm already setting the stage to put a deposit down. this gave me goosebumps like the DSotM last year -- but this one is attainable!
