It was explained to me to make changing time zones very easy without stopping the watch to adjust the time when traveling. Do we “need” it? No. Is it a nice feature? Sure.

hmm interesting

i personally don't like it. i like the feel of manually winding a time only watch. . its kind of part of the deal

it doesn't detract much from the watch. overall i still think its one of the best new releases from omega in ages

Perhaps you’ll like it then when you manually wind it……

As mentioned previously, my OB checked with Biel regarding the „Special Packaging“ as denoted on the pictogram card. Apparently the standard light brown wooden box is correct and there will be no special box for the CK859. 🙁

All a bit weird…?

Is the dial silver, white or cream? I've seen pictures where it looks this three colors.

I heard that Omega initially wanted to release this model as a limited edition. I think some early buyers have also received pictograms saying its limited out of a certain number.
Perhaps initially the box was also supposed to be special? But now that they've decided to release it as a 'regular' model (albeit numbered), they've simply delivered it with regular boxes.

It is silver in color - in fact, the dial is made of silver as denoted by the tiny “Ag925” in the center just above the pivot for the hands. In my experience, it does look different in various lighting and angles though.

Haven't had time to finish up the review yet, but I have had a lot of fun taking pictures of this piece. As everyone says, the dial is quite unique. It's also made of silver, like the Silver Snoopy, but I don't think anyone would know if both weren't marked 'AG925.'

Very much enjoying the one I picked up. 😀
It's on a non-OEM light grey leather strap.

I like the OEM leather don't get me wrong but the color does not do the timepiece justice with variety of options out there.

The one you asked for the source was a grey (non suede) from AMAZON - EACHE Vintage Watch Straps 20mm ( I also have a darker brown and black from that series that is killer as well).

My official nomination for the strap monster of the year award. 😀

Being presented on my 6.6 inch wrist for your further consideration and feedback...

BluShark AlphaPremier Midnight Blue Strap ( converted to a single pass buy me)

BluShark AlphaPremier Bond 2021 Strap ( AKA No Time To Die converted to a single pass buy me)

I asked my AD and he said no discounts on this one. I are sad. Apparently many dealers aren't even accepting anymore orders for this watch. Any chance your AD is offering the discount for other enthusiasts? I have a few Omega pieces if that matters.

There are plenty for sale on C24, and for over list to.

There are seven of these on C24 from the USA ranging in price from $7,890 to $10,150. You can buy it right now on the Omega website for $6,500. Maybe there are enough clueless people who will overpay. Many people just can't be bothered to shop around. Weird.

As mentioned in the other thread, my OB told me yesterday that the watch cannot be ordered anymore, seems to be discontinued shortly.
