I do like but again with the fauxtina on the lume. I've seen this in person and it looks quite brown.
I put a tan strap I had laying around on the Railmaster. I think this watch will go well with a wide variety of strap types; leather, canvas, NATO etc.. With the probable exception of bright colors.
Some more Railmaster photos at my local OB. My own Seamaster 300MC also included in some of the photos. For the me both black dial Railmasters (LE and non-LE) look better on a strap. The Herringbone strap on the non-LE is quite stiff. Still want to wait to do a final comparison with the blue dial variant on a bracelet...which I suspect will be the best sports watch option of all versions released so far. My crude mock-up below for ref.
I went and checked these out in person thinking the grey dial was the winner for me - walked away a bit surprised that I liked the black dial much more. Sharper, more readable in brighter light imo.
I tried the new Railmaster on in duty free shop in Munich airport. Good price there. I really like the dial, case, hands........Just did not like the strap. Put it on anything else and you have a beautiful clean watch. A watch like this should not be on a strap like that.
I always thought the Rolex Explorer was the perfect one watch collection. Dare I say this is so much nicer. I'd take this any day of the week. Price is still a little high for me.
No need anymore for my crude mock-ups with the steel bracelet...first photos of the blue dial Railmaster with SS bracelet posted on instagram (Michael Pearson from Timeless, also includes a video) https://www.instagram.com/p/BjlZxhiH2t3/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=1bm9h3np129fd I think it looks pretty cool on the bracelet, but still need to check-out live to confirm that this will be on my list for 2018
I think the newest version brings new life to the dial. EPIC watch, after reviewing this gallery I'm on the hunt.
The "*Railmaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer" naming bugs me. The stripes on the dial bug me. The faux lume bugs me. And I'm guessing it's also 19mm lugs like other recent lineups, which also bugs me. The latest Seamaster designs, on a whole, bug me.
The more often I see the watch, the more I like it. I will try it on one day. I think this is a watch I have to feel and see on my wrist, to be convinced!
Does anyone know if an OEM Omega rubber strap would fit this model? Preferably something that fits right up against the case. Like the PO straps... This would be incredibly comfortable with a fitted rubber strap.
