New Railmaster- What do we think ?

Not a fan of the faux lume color. Other than that, I do like it. I particularly like that they kept the entire case and bracelet a brushed surface and did not get crazy with a high polish. It's a direct competitor to the Explorer and I prefer the case of the omega more I think.

It's a great watch, inside and out. Thinking of buying one for my son when he graduates next year. Wish Omega releases a 38.5mm version this Basel.

Don’t care for the numeral font.

I mean, let’s be real

There’s a contest?

Looks good, but honestly it's a "Railmaster" by name only. The new RM is the legitimate successor to the anti-magnetic ck 2914 (and its re-issue, the RMLE).

100% this, said the same thing in a different thread, bugs the heck out of me when IWC does it with the Ingenieur series as well, an RM, Ingenieur or Milgauss better be anti-magnetic. Omega has an edge on both Rolex and IWC on that front given that their movement is itself anti-magnetic and they don't have to shove a soft-iron cage in.

I like this combo (Hirsch Riva with a nicely matching colour) :

I get your point. I admit the original never impressed me nearly as much a a black faced Ranchero. That, right there, probably explains my problem.

Watch faces are a very visual experience for me. I can’t wear a face that doesn’t work for me. The Ranchero does and the Railmaster doesn’t.

Meh.
the "almost" sector dial is not intriguing me so much. I don't see personality in there, honestly.

So... this is absolutely gorgeous 🥰

Hrmm that makes life more difficult, was thinking I was safely past wanting anything from Basel. Was trying to make the decision between the black RM and another watch, and now this enters the mix...

Funny, I'm not so keen on that version. Black dial is the winner for me. Also seeing that makes me feel they got it right going with faux aged lume on the others, without it just looks a bit plain IMO.

I suspect the lighting is washing that blue dial out a bit, very keen to see it in person myself

Super catch! Thanks for posting)

Agreed...this might be "the one". The hour markers with a lighter fauxtina looks more balanced against the blue dial.

I like it enough that it was my first Omega purchase - I've been wanting an Omega for 20+ years.

I'll stick with my vintage "Official".
I am surprised they haven't released a RM with full Arabic numerals like this. Really cool watch you got there.
