One of the finest speedmasters.
I think if the colour of the hands matched the indices it would be perfect!

Sorry to dig up this post. Amazing watch, of which I have one on the way. 🥳
I have a question maybe someone could help me with. Whilst doing some homework on this latest addition, I noticed two different references: ref. 3689.20.31 and ref. 36893000. Anyone knows the difference between these?

36893000 comes with a bracelet from the factory, 3689.30.31 is leather strap

Congrats on the new watch. Post pics or it didn't happen.

Is there a typo in the first ref, 20>30?

Could it be a difference between short (36893000) and long hour markers (3689
30.31)?

Are you sure about the bracelet? I have never seen this one on a WG bracelet, Google doesn’t give any hits either.

It’s still on its way, so I won’t be able to post some pics before next week. In the mean time, Here’s my other Speedy:

Typo indeed. 👍

You’re right about the hour markers, hadn’t noticed that before. Mine has the shorter markers.

You're right, I assumed as much based on Omega's naming pattern. Both are the same watch, looks like 36893000 is the older reference number format before they moved to the XXXX.XX.XX of the 90's and early 2000's.

Beautiful Speedmaster, btw

Ah yes, they switched reference formats around that time. That must be it.
Thanks! 👍

I confirm. This is the reason for two ref. (36893000/36893031) but it is the same watch. In the meantime I sold mine, to get the same model but in real nos condition. It might seem crazy, but finding a piece like this (produced only in 285 pcs) even nos has its charm and I could not resist. How many of these exist in the world in these conditions?
