New purchase: Omega Speedmaster white gold moonphase

I present to you my latest purchase: Omega Speedmaster ref. 36893000. This is a reference that celebrates 30 years of the Apollo XI mission. This is neither a limited nor a numbered edition. Produced in 285 pieces between 1999 and 2004. The reflections and the chromatic contrasts are crazy. The photos fail to fully convey the beauty of this piece, which is why I also leave a short video.

I hope you like it, I find it wonderful.

Gorgeous piece! 🥰

Then again, I am not entirely unbiased. 😉

These white gold ones don't come up for sale very often, so good catch. Have fun wearing it. The models with the 1866 movement with moonphase are way undervalued, imo.

I have a modded stainless steel 3575.20.00 version (ca. 2003) with cream dial, baton handset from the WG version, blue Gemini IV bezel, and clear back. One of my summer watches. These are all great watches, but very overlooked.

OP - a beautiful watch, I passed on a reasonably priced one a few years ago, which in hindsight was a mistake...I hope you have many years of wearing it in good health!

Great purchase - you will not regret it. The heft of the white gold also does not come across in pictures...

Mine says 'hi' 😀

I've got to stop looking at new threads.

Stunning.

Let the internet searches begin...

Wear it in good health. That moon-phase complication is fantastic.

Congrats, is this the one from european watchco? I was looking at that one if it is. Wonder what you ended up paying as there is another one from another dealer I am trying to see if the price is fair.

Thanks,

Anselm

Mine is not that of watchco. Mine was offered for around 20,000 euros by another reseller.
In the end, I didn't pay cash but I traded in two watches for this.

I have done the two for one swap myself, with the right watches it is a perfectly viable way to go.

These are still quite undervalued IMO, I remember one of our mods bought one a few years back for a really reasonable price and I didn’t know it existed before then but yea terrific watch and well worth owning. There are LE Omegas but this is one you just don’t see.
