Could it be a difference between short (36893000) and long hour markers (3689
30.31)?

Mine says hi. I got it 8 years ago from a reputable seller, it came with a "long indices" dial.
It's great at playing with the light, I don't think I will ever let it go.
I have since found another one online with long indices and a serial number not far from mine. Photos below.

·You're right, I assumed as much based on Omega's naming pattern. Both are the same watch, looks like 36893000 is the older reference number format before they moved to the XXXX.XX.XX of the 90's and early 2000's.
