I have the same one in blue and have no problems whatsoever. How long do you have it?
six months or so...

Very subjective topic this, Omega material straps are fantastic and I love all three of them I own. They are hold your nerve hand your card over and pay the price then get home forget the price and enjoy it forever.
The leather ones I can’t comment on as I don’t own one but if your really not happy with it I don’t see why you shouldn’t return it. Very least give you a credit note if not a refund. Might be like high end shoes and bags and bets etc, the quantity is not the thing paid for but more finest of materials, hand made QC, maybe a large amount of marketing as well 😀

Thank you guys for all the comments and suggestions on leather strap. The more I read and the more I think about, I see every ones point. I admit, I probably am not a good judge of quality as I dont have many leather straps. So perhaps this is better than I think. I still need to really think about it, and see if I want to keep it or return it.

On the other hand, the orange one I ordered just came. That one is very nice. Here are some pics of it...

The price of a leather NATO is decent compared to the price of normal OEM calfskin straps. Omega charges around $250 for a non NATO strap. Obviously that's a lot more than non Omega straps so it's up to you if you want Omega items or not.

I found the leather NATO's made the stack height of the watch huge (especially on an already thick PO as well as a 44.25mm Speedy). I loved that tan colour though.

aside from the holes growing a bit large from wear and tear, the new moss green nato is killer...super comfortable.

I just wanted to give an update now that I have worn the strap for a few days. I also updated the title of this topic, and up an update on the first post.

I love this strap now. Totally 180-degree turn here. It just needed a few days of wear and at the same time needed me to do some more research and understand a bit more about what makes a quality leather strap. By no means is this a cheap strap at all, I was wrong to say that. After comparing other options, it has become clear that in fact this is likely the highest quality one of them all. Yes, its also the most costly.. but, in the end I think the saying is true.. "You get what you pay for". Sure, some padding is there for the "Omega" branding. But, I actually can see this strap lasting far longer than I initially thought.. possibly for the rest of my life (39 now) if worn carefully and in rotation with other straps.

Thanks guys. Here are some updated pics..

Thank you. Yes, it looks great. When I first took it out of the package.. it was super stiff, thin and felt just like any of the other super cheap leather bands that I have seen in the past. It was at this moment it hit me.. I just paid $280 for this. That was my issue.

But.. now that I have worn it for several days.. I must say, I can clearly tell this is a quality band. Worth the money? Debatable, but no doubt very nice and I do think this will last a VERY long time vs. anything else I have seen.

I rushed my judgement, and jumped to conclusions. Bad on me :-(

No shame in admitting you jumped to the wrong conclusion.

Have you looked into shell cordovan natos? For the price you paid for the OEM strap you can get a really nice one! They don't crease or wear like regular cow-hide or calfskin straps.
I recommend one made from Horween over the Japanese (Shinki Hikaku) leather.

Where do you recommend looking for straps made from Horween leather?

I had a guy on etsy make mine but his store has since disappeared. 🙁
The Rios1931 and Fluco Horween shell cordovan straps are fantastic. They are identical to the Nomos straps that they charge double for.

Thank you, I was looking at crown and buckle but these look like great straps for a better price.
