·Is it likely this will be an ongoing model versus a limited number? I’m so impressed with the look of this. It’s a great price and I like the Nekton tie in. This and the good planet watches make it pretty special.

The vast majority of the general public prefers watches with a date. That's why most watches have them (unfortunately).

I'm one who prefers the date, and I would wager (no looking, that's cheating), that the models of Diver without a date exceed those with one. Sadly, as this with a date would be a slam dunk for me.
I would have thought it was the other way to be honest - nearly everything I looked at before I bought the CWC had a date window...
Could be right, like I said I didn't look lol. Off the top of my head, date models include the blue, black, grey, white, and Bond coat of arms model, the chronograph models, and all the gold variants . Models without are the Bond coat of arms in platinum, gold, or steel, the titanium/tantalum/gold, ceramic/titanium, the Bond NTTD, and the Nekton. So, based on that could you would be correct.
The one that bothers me is the new Bond; they made that one with and without date in SS, so why not offer the same across the other LEs?
It seems you're focusing on the Omega 300M range. Across all ranges and all brands, the majority of watches (also divers) have a date complication.
Edit: I just checked and the 300M range too btw. 37 watches with a date and 10 without.
