WRUW today? The what are you wearing thread. Doesn't matter if you have one watch and share it 100 times, or if you share something that isn't an Omega, or if your collection is tiny or huge. We don't care, we like pictures and we don't judge. I wear one omega 96.314159265358979% of the time and a couple of other watches the remaining 3.68584073464% of the time. We don't care how many watches you own or whether your collection fits the youtube influencer/reddit rules of collecting. You do you and we'll like your watch pics.

Nature Watch is a great thread if you're into nature or gardening.

WRULT? for music.

There's also a shoes thread, a smoking/drinking thread, and plenty of other random off-topic things to discuss in Open Discussion.

Where are the popular hang outs on the Forum? Who are the seasoned Omegites I should know?

RE your other question, generally if someone responds and sounds coherent, they're probably worth listening to, but if it doesn't make sense feel free to ask for a second opinion. We're mostly not that touchy about being corrected here, and honestly if one of us does say something incorrect chances are high someone else will be along shortly to correct the misinfo. It's a great group.

And remember in the end watches are just things. If you like quartz it’s fine. Odd colorful dials or big seiko helmuts, new, old, neo it’s all cool. I’m not a high roller don’t have many watches worth a lot of money I have a bunch I like. I can’t take them with me when I shuffle off this soil, perhaps someday my bones will be oil. No one (most of the time) ever notices or comments on my watches.
It’s just an enjoyable hobby. That is of course my opinion and tbh it’s probably not worth very much.

Wise words indeed. And you're speaking to a cancer survivor just over a year cancer free. 😉

Good on you. Odd our new CEO is a cancer survivor and we were talking about the mental impact it had on her. Very moving. I went through a rough patch a while ago but came out the other side ok. Nothing like cancer but unpleasant. You definitely deserve a nice watch to celebrate. You have my permission to get whatever moves you the most, if I win mega millions tonight it’s on me, if not sorry I tried.

I appreciate that Wal. Yes, it was quite a journey indeed. Stage 4 colon cancer that metastasized to my liver. Four months in the hospital due to a bile leak, I had eight drains at one point, looked like an octopus. My wife was a wreck and at one point didn't think I was going to pull through. A good support system helps immensely. Don't give up no matter what they tell you!
Everyone pay attention to your health, if anything changes don't ignore it. And get those colonoscopies! Rates are going up and seen younger and younger. I was 42. Some of the older doctors have it in their mind set that you need to be much older to get cancer. <Stepping off soap box>

You are in good company on this forum. We are all either dealing with, recovering from or hurdling towards something that is life changing.
Watches and pretty things can be a nice distraction sometimes.

Are you kidding?!! Cancer survivor one year brightens my day! My daughter is coming up on two years, just in time for her 27th birthday. Give me your wife’s contact info and we'll discuss straightening out your attitude.

That's great pdx! Wow so young. I'm sorry she's had to go through that. I'll straighten myself out. All smiles.

Is there a list of trusted sellers on the site? I had no luck searching for one. Cheers.
