Hello everyone, just signed up, been an Omega fan since 1998 when I picked up my first ever 2531.80 and wanted to introduce myself/my collection. It seems there are not any SOTC type posts here, is that kind of thing frowned upon? I know some forums see it as 'showing off' and understand that sentiment but I just like sharing my collection and love talking about the watches.

Those threads appear from time to time, but never seem to get much traction. After a while, someone posts a photo of an entire bank vault with shelves full of watches, or a table with hundreds of watches in zip-lock bags, and that basically puts an end to it. 😁

Yeah, State Of The Collection on places like Reddit.

I think you're going to find this to be a pretty different experience than Reddit. Enjoy the ride. 👍

I only became aware of "SOTC" very recently due to some publicity concerning a certain "watch influencer" on YT.
That was enough to turn me off the term.

Notwithstanding that, we're always interested in people and their watches, especially if there's a story attached to a particular watch.

Anything vintage Omega can go in here, modern Omega in here, general watch talk and cat pictures go here.

Plenty of other places as well. Have a look around and join in.

Seriously though, I just wanted to share my Omegas, whilst I have other makes I'm culling the herd to Omega only and this is where I'm at currently: https://imgur.com/a/IIbk2bx.

We love photos, but the expectation here is to post them in the thread itself. This site is amazing for posting photos (drag and drop, then click insert), and by putting them into the thread itself, there is a lasting record, which makes it a great archive for research.

To add a photo, I drag a jpg (or multiple files simultaneously, which is awesome) from my desktop into the reply window. Once it loads, I see a thumbnail of the image below the window, and I can click on INSERT PHOTO after placing the cursor where I want the photo to appear. Then when I'm done, I click on REPLY. I think you can also insert an image URL for a photo that is online, by using the Image icon at the top of the reply window. But I generally insert them from my desktop, or my photo library if I'm using my phone.

Oh... Watch Noob or flexxer inanity.

Welcome to the real watch nerds with way more interesting collections, and infinitely more knowledge. We do not feel the need to show off, regardless of the state of a collection. Price and volume takes a back seat to knowledge and selection. IE congrats you have Tiffany blue Patek... lets see that Zenith made Italian airforce limited run from the 60's... One is much much harder to own, and a lot more interesting...

That being said anyone selling an A Carrelli?

SOTC became a thing over on TimeZone over the last ten years or so, usually at the end of the year. Personally, I never could see the point of it.
