New here - Advice for vintage with redial

Hi all - I am new here & currently looking at a vintage watch that is listed as Art Decò Cal 26.5 SOBT2 from the 1930s. It is clearly a redial which I don't mind too much as finding an original would probably be very difficult.

Currently it is listed on chrono24 for €2,290 which is around $2700USD for me. I feel like this watch would bring me joy but i'm not so sure at that price as it seems a bit over-priced.

After reading through the pinned fishing for vintages and a few others.

I just had a few questions:
1. ) Is this real? I know chrono24 is trustworthy but that doesn't mean that fakes don't make it through, and there is no partner certification for this watch & no papers either - seems fairly rare on watches this old.

2. ) Is the worth the price? The lugs are obviously mildly over-polished as some of the lugs are rounded; the text to my untrained eye looks okay and inline with some of the other models within the 1930s. The minute marks and the logo look clean (again - to my untrained eyes).

3. ) How much would you pay for this?

4. ) Any recommendations on alternatives? I really am wanting a black dial watch with a sub-second dial & limited hour markers, I like the arabic numerials but I am also open to roman numerials.

Please let me know if I forgot to include any information that would be relevant.

Thanks for reading !

An attractive watch but the black subdial hand makes it invisible
I don’t collect 1930s watches so not well versed on prices but seems quite expensive.

Here is an alternative 2639 from early 50s with the look you describe- and a bit larger at 36 mm. It has cal 266 from the 30 mm family Lots of them around and much less than this one.

That is quite similar although I think I am looking for 35mm and lower in size - I prefer smaller watch hands as well; would that be a hard thing to get replaced if I was to get a watch such as that?

I'll have to keep looking around or waiting then since the watch I was eyeing is quite expensive but would like some more input.

Your watchmaker can strip it and paint it any color you desire.

The pricing gives me pause AND hay fever, though.

I would be fine with just a watch hand replacement, thinking about it now - that opens up a lot of options for me as I've seen other watches I have liked but didn't like the hands.

I would however have to do some research on which watchmakers in my area are trustworthy and reliable for that job.

Good idea to keep looking but, before you buy, check here and, although you probably know, omega dials are regularly repainted (so the value is diminished).

Look out for descriptions that include; repainted, restored, refurbished, refinished etc., and that’s only the sellers who disclose it. Be suspicious of all black dials and any dials that look too good to be true - and still check here first.

Ridiculous price. Can buy a gold watch for less, a really nice constellation for less. Any number of nice watches for less

Bezel not sitting flush with the center case.

Movement about a 4.5/10 with a fingerprint on it.

Case is about a 4/10

They refinished the dial and then placed crappy hands on it

Keep looking. Always check here on price before buying or check for a similar watch on Ebay's completed auctions to see what they're going for. That's not always perfect as some have more money than sense and overpay

Thanks for pointing the flaws out !

I didn't even notice the fingerprint to be honest but should have since its quite obvious.

I am not in a hurry so I will keep looking for a better vintage and price point and will of course double check with you guys before I buy anything.

I wanted something that looks like this - which is I believe a Suveran?
