So after a rough weekend (car broke down and is now in a shop hours away, hours of delays and cancelled trains) I finally get home and rush to unpack before bed so I can start the week anew. And, because comedy comes in threes, I dropped my watch face down and hear a crack. Pick it up, and of course, this is what I see:

Any advice? I’m pretty sure this won’t buff out…
I am in Kaiserslautern, DE. I think my options are
- find a local Omega watchmaker (one in Oppenheim?)
- use any local watchmaker
- mail it to a watchmaker

Thank you all for your input. I’m ready for bed!

I believe it should be no-PZ5140

your current crystal is a replacement and not an original omega one .
If you don’t mind using a replacement one rather than trying to buy an original one then it will be cheaper to replace .

Sorry to hear that. On the positive side, you are lucky that the movement is working fine. The crystal is a consumable part that is easy to replace by a watchmaker.

As Adam pointed out above, you will need an Omega PZ5140 if you want an original replacement with the logo in the center. They are hard to find and can be pricey. There are cheaper aftermarket replacements available like the one you already have. Hopefully someone in your are can recommend a local watchmaker that you can use. I believe this crystal is still available from Omega if the watchmaker you find has an Omega parts account.
