Can I still get a new crystal for my 166.024?

Hello my friends here. I recently bought the watch but I really don't like the cyclop on the crystal. Can I still get the correct crystal and have my watchmaker install it?

I thought Omega had stopped supplying these parts to any third party watchmakers long time ago...

As @Wlcutter said “any watchmaker with an Omega account”.

It would be worth researching the profile of new service crystals. They may not have the same dome/profile of vintage which is one of the reasons many people try to polish and retain original crystals where possible.

I did some research here, and it seems that the part number for this crystal is PZ5076. However I don't know it is the modern one or vintage one.

Nope. Omega stopped selling to parts distributors - aka the middlemen. They continue to sell directly to watchmakers who take the time to get certified.

Yes that's the correct crystal. Note that the crystal with the cyclops is also listed for this reference.

I think the crystal is correct to the watch and I vote for keeping it as is 😀
If I remember well, the reference for the crystal with loupe is PZ5076 L
The genuine crystals are not as domed as the service replacements, so are being called flat top crystals.

so pz5076 is the genuine part or the service part? I want to change the crystal more for my personal preference, I really don't like the loupe.

That is the number - there isn't a different number for a service part. The design may change slightly over the years, but the number stays the same.

I will check with a local watchmaker first, he is Omega certified.

He'll tell you the same thing - that number is what show up on the Omega Extranet, which he will have access to if he's Omega certified.

Yes, I mean I'll seek help from him to have the crystal replaced.
