I know you’ve your watches have no gap and are perfect. But on the flip side, I have seen many photos online of my watch or close to it that show these gaps. One would assume that they would rattle too?! I just don’t know anymore. This will be my first and last Omega that’s for sure. I sent an email to customer service on the official web site, let’s see what happens next. Also included photos and video.
I just looked at some online and see the gap. I just called my friend who just bought his last week and he said no rattle. I’ve owned close to 20 omega over the years and a few Rolex. Just bought a new datejust 41 3 days ago. I’m staying with Rolex for now on.

Lol it’s not. I still love omega. The previous 3 I purchased prior to my last AT had all gone back multiple times for warranty repair. There was a point where I swore I’d never buy another. But I just did lol

This isn’t an omega vs Rolex on my part. Just after getting my last DJ on Friday, and with the issues I had with the watches all purchased in July, august and September 2018 having issues, I stayed away from omega for awhile. I bought my last AT two weeks ago and love it. But I think it’ll probably be my last. Not that I think Rolex is better overall, I’ve just had bad luck. 20 omegas purchased over 15 years and 3 having issues isn’t a bad ratio. But how would you feel if you spent 30k in 3 months only to have to send each one back 3x?

Let me put it like this. I have 2 bmw’s and an Audi. I actually think they’re equal but I prefer my Audi over the other two. Does it make it better? No. Just personal preference. But you know you could just scroll past and not comment

And why am I even explaining myself to you? Lol

I've no idea.

By the way, slickster514's "issue" is no real issue at all.
Making a mountain out of a molehill comes to mind.

I thought so as well until I saw the video of him touching it and the end link moving. That’s not normal. Maybe for you

From my part, I was trying to put slickster514's mind at rest that the "issue" he has is minor.
Actually, it's with the bracelet and not the watch in itself.

I agree 100%. The watch is fine. Just send it in for replacement or repair. Just bypass the AD since they obviously don’t want to help

I have to do this intelligently otherwise they won’t take me seriously. Recall that the swatch repair service found no issues the first time I tried going to them.
Then you see similar gap on similar models, what stops them from saying it’s normal?

for example, see this photo I found .......

Fair point .
But this gap opens and closes based on the position of the bracelet. I can mimic what you see in the photos but my gap is still there.

I have the same watch, same bracelet from an OB. It rattles a little bit with extreme movements, but it's not because the end links are loose. In my case it's that I wear it a little bit loose and so the first links next to the case can tap against the end pieces/case/each other a little. Doesn't bother me; overall I am more annoyed that it's a little big this way but even removing one more small link makes it just a bit too tight for me.

So I took it to the Omega service center, armed with my video.
They agreed to order new end links, about 4 to 6 weeks to receive from the factory in Switzerland. The watchmaker that looked at it admitted that there may be tad more play that usual but remains perfectly acceptable. He showed me his personal SMP that he was wearing and I was able to find a similar gap (although a bit smaller) as mine .... and I was able to "rattle" it as in the video that I posted. So basically, it's an Omega thing and hopefully the new end links will improve the overall fit. To be perfectly honest, for a watch that retails over $7K in Canada, I would have expected tighter tolerances, but as long as it's not a defect ... I can live with it.

This is my cheap Citizen end link, notice the step across the bottom that keeps it snug in place. Too bad Omega didn’t do the same on this particular bracelet model for the AT.
