Are the end links in a new modern Seamaster Aqua Terra 8900 Solid or Hollow?
I’m asking because I often see this on many Omega watches...

From the photo, you can clearly see that the end links don’t seem to make good contact with the watch body, and adds more slack and noise to the bracelet movement.

Any comments?

That’s an older poor example quartz AT. Endlinks are solid. I have two 8900 AT’s, one on rubber and one bracelet. Very tight fit on both.

And by “many”, which ones? I’ve been collecting omegas and rolex for 20 years. Even my older sub with hollow end links had a tight fit, and I’ve never seen one like the one in your pic.

I have a brand new AT8900 that I got from an AD about one month ago. There is a bit of play with the end links (both top and bottom) that make a bit of noise (Tick sound) when you shake the watch on your wrist or on a cuff.

This is my actual watch, it is a bit exaggerated when held in this position, but it’s clearly evident.

I don’t know man. Maybe take it back and see if the springbars can be replaced. Mine are both tight. Since you just got it I’d swing by and have them take a look at it

So I've just been to my AD.
Says its normal. Also seen some other Omegas on display and they all seem to have a bit of play as I've described.
He said that all watches will loosen up a bit (from brand new) and stabilize.
If you on Chronos24 you can literally find dozens of similar examples, so I’m at a lose for words. ?

Honestly I don’t know. I’ve had 20 something omegas over the years. Never had gaps in my endlinks. I’ve had some bracelets rattle near the clasp. My endlinks are so tight you couldn’t slide paper in there.

Mine’s an 8500 model, but after 5+ years of ownership my end links are still tight. The gap is less than the thickness of a sheet of paper.

My Planet Ocean and Speedy are similarly tight. The only time I’ve seen a gap like yours on my Omegas is when I’ve used incorrect aftermarket springbars (thinner bars) on the PO after I lost the OEM ones during a strap change.

Also to add. Your AD is wrong. It’s not normal to see play in the endlinks after “settling”. That’s nonsense

My brand new AT41mm has the same problem. Was just at the AD, they gave me the standard spiel that "it is all within tolerances and that there is always some play in the bracelet and links, blah blah blah." They tried to switch out the springbars and they scratched the underside of the lugs worse than I could have ever done. Depending on how I move my wrist, my watch 'clicks' and if you touch the end links, you can make them move up and down like the flaps on a plane's wing. This can not be correct, right?

Hi, do you have now a solution for the problem?
I also bought a brand new AT 41mm and there is a bit of play with the end links at the top that make a bit of noise (Tick sound) when you shake the watch on your wrist...

My aqua terra is exactly the same model as the one in the picture and suffers the same gap in the endlinks. They are solid but in my opion the problem comes from the 2 supports located below each endlink which seat on the lugs. They are small and bend. My springbars have no gap. The endlinks rotate on them but no lateral gap . My watch is 15 years old and i have used it a lot and I have not been aware of this until now, but i am sure it appeared much sooner.
