Deep down, we are all Deputy Marshal Samuel Gerard. Or Inspector Javert, if we are French. Or Klondike Kat, if we are Canadian.

Thanks! You just have to buy the bracelet (even with the wrong end pieces), and the watch will be inexorably drawn to the net. Never fails.

I see it was bought for $15. I can offer you $20, if you include the watch as supplementary.

Congrats on the pickup!馃グ I was watching this too and glad to see someone on here got it! I was scared off by the description of "not running." Probably just needed a battery馃檮 like most of their descriptions say on an automatic watch when not running!::facepalm1::. A few months back, there was an auction there with a watch "grab bag" of about 20 watches. Most were junk, but there were a few that stuck out to the collectors and you could tell from the bidding at the end. One was a Blancpain FF Auqalung, as well as a vintage Doxa Sub and a couple of others. Somebody did well on that one too. I was waiting to see if someone on here got those, but it doesn't look like it. Again, congrats!

Thanks! Not much of a story. A magnanimous collector with a spare bezel finally heard my plea via Instagram. I am very grateful indeed.

Holy crap 馃槻

I was a pretty serious bidder on this watch back in 2016 and thought I might have a second bite at the cherry today. Another bezel-less one which actually wasn鈥檛 quite as nice with wrong crown and hands probably redone. Well I was quite wrong ! @MMMD time to retire ?

Holy crap! Starting to realize I will never find a bezel for my Scafandro馃檨

Is the Scafandro one of the watches that has exactly the same bezel as the Longines Skindiver ? As I missed out back in 2016 I never got deeply into the search for a suitable bezel.

@w154 Maybe I am missing something with the example that was for sale here on OF but it had a bezel and correct crown and seemingly sold for roughly 1/3 of the price of the watch above. Here is the link: https://omegaforums.net/threads/longines-nautilus-ref-6921-2.68336/
I spotted that one too, and thought it was probably about the correct price for a complete one (I鈥檓 not sure the crown is correct, although at least it鈥檚 a compressor crown). It鈥檚 just unbelievable how much the Toovey's one sold for. I can see no logical reason. As Wildboar mentioned there鈥檚 over 35% on top of that so it鈥檚 pretty much $31K. Insane.

Nor I.

Not certain about the crown either. Must look into it.

HA. I just realized I forgot to confirm my phone bid confirmation but would have been pointless anyway. Crazy price.
