Keep checking socials today for the announcement. Then realised it’s the 14th today! Doh!
Is that the XXL in the photo of Clarkson?

I know he’s a big bloke, but it looks fairly normal on him.

Think he’s always worn big watches, a lot of Top Gear was the PO 45mm & also in Clarkson Farm, think he now wears a big Breitling Avenger also.

Yep. He does pull it off somehow, but it's a dinner plate on most people.

IIRC, the first generation Aqua Terra at 36mm was 11mm thick. That's with a coaxial escapement and a display caseback. It seems like the thickness of modern Omegas is a deliberate design decision and not the consequence of technical limitations.

My 36 mm Railmaster is 11.2 mm thick, including a slight dome to the crystal. That's with a no date Caliber 2403B, but I assume the case is shared with the AT reference.

Hopefully many "upgrade" and the previous models go down in price.

new Railmaster
Not really getting overexcited about the Railmaster.
BUT what's the story behind the watch in your avatar? Is that real?

Easy, tiger!

It’s still early here in Europe, and not everything has to be released at 0:00:01.

There’s still plenty of time for it to come out today.

Hi, no it's not a real one but it's a wishful thinking of mine for what a new Omega flightmaster should look like😊

Oof, how embarassing. 😜

Nothing surprising in those pics/specs for the greyscale one. It really feels like a worse rendition of the second gen.

The other one is a surprise though! Sub seconds at six. Not bad! If I was gonna get one, I'd go for that one... but I'll stick with the one I've got.

Ya agreed of the two the small seconds is interesting. I do like the 38mm size but tbh I don’t see people going crazy over these. I was one of the oddballs who really liked the denim dial I picked one up. Just something very different thought I. Nothing wrong here just nothing overwhelming. I didn’t sleep well so I checked early on the release, pretty good mock up on the leak I gotta say with they grey dial

A cheaper no-date Aqua Terra and with the minute hand lume that the Aqua Terra should already have.

I like it

Good point, the lume is definitely much better. Was the same story on the second gen too.

I also like the new straps. The lug width is 19 mm, so the straps would fit the 2504.52. I might pick the black one up, actually. That's one benefit of the Railmaster, it's very versatile for strap combos.

Fratello has a review up with more photos. Two tone lume on one of them, my mockup was half right! And those straps are deployant, I assumed they'd be tang looking more casual. The greyscale gradient looks a little better on wrist than I expected.

I like the short lug to lug.

Does the bracelet have on the fly adjustment?

Edit: Looks like it does, according the Omega's website: "Foldover butterfly clasp with comfort setting".
