··Seamasters ForeverThe problem is they already hit it out of the park decades ago, but the necessity of running a business dictates finding ways to sell new watches. A purist would say take one of the old designs and make it slightly better.
But marketing would say "how the heck will we sell the same thing that people didn't really buy decades ago? For way more money?"
So this design makes total sense, even if it is best viewed as an AT, not a Railmaster.
A relaunch of the "out of the park" railmaster with a matte black dial that has a similar texture to the new bronze gold SMP, but with these gradient dials as options, would probably have made sense. Classic, beautiful, slightly textured.
Seamaster Railmaster, dedicated 38 mm case, straight lugs and all brushed. That would make it clearly the little brother to the current Seamaster heritage.
