·Just put a deposit on the Pro model. Vendor was awesome and is a huge Rush fan, but said it’s going to be a long wait as they’re inundated with pre-orders.

·Seeing some stories in the news about Neil on the anniversary of his passing brought back memories of my first ever concert. 1981 - Amphitheater in Chicago. Moving Pictures tour. I had just turned 15. Friends Dad drop us off and we were on our own. This venue in Chicago had seen alot of events. There was so much smoke in there all the time that the American flag hanging from the ceiling had yellow strips instead of white.
We had seats in the balcony behind the stage overlooking the band. A nice vantage point to see Neil play the drums all night long. As soon as the lights dropped and Rush hit the stage, someone to my left shot something in his arm. Someone to my right snorted something. Everyone was smoking. That Rush concert was a window into a world that was scary and thrilling and illicit and way too grown up for me. But it was an incredible first concert to see, and fueled a love of going to see great musicians play live.

·Not 60 seconds ago I bought this T-shirt from the official store. On each anniversary of that terribly sad day in 2020, I find myself listening to the band (who am I kidding? I listen to them at least once a day) and buying another shirt. Our kitty, Presto, approves.

·I had tickets to P/G concert in 1984, which would have been my first concert. I was 15, but couldn’t go. My 19 year old brother lost a 3 year battle with cancer and his wake was the night of the concert. That album and Afterimage especially, brings back so many memories and emotions.

I thought Joel Stevenett did an outstanding job in his tribute. Never realized how active Neil was in songs like Time Stand Still. Incredible.

However on occasion I've felt that if they backed up that vocal atmosphere with something a little edgier, it would be really great too. Say take a bit of Stabbing Westward and throw that into the mix...
So not sure if Alex was reading my mind, but the new band he is in released this first song, and I love it!
The rest of this will drop in April, and if it's anywhere near this good, this will be my favourite new band.

I love this. Thanks, Al. It reminds me of another favourite band of mine, Hooverphonic. And there's definitely some vestiges of A.L.'s initial solo effort, Victor, in there (I am one of the few that bought it - still have it!)

·I watched this the other day. Twice. It's so well done and a lovely way to respect the 2nd anniversary of that dark day. For anyone interested in upping their drumming game or even wanting a place to start learning the craft, Drumeo is the world's leading video channel for drums. Pretty much every major player from all genres has graced their studio since roughly 2010, providing incredibly detailed lessons for students of all levels. it's mind boggling to think they're based out of Abbotsford, British Columbia, a small city about 100 KM east of Vancouver.
