Though it was nice I would venture to say that was bit optimistic on the pricing.. but I guess it did sell.
The market is fairly soft on these and you can find a 2913-3 or similar typically for about a quarter of that if you keep your eyes peeled.
You’re right, but -3’s are fairly common, -1’s are seriously rare, less than 20 currently known, far rarer than a 2915-1 or 2914-1.
Wow, less than 20, I didn't have a clue that they were so few and far between!......How's it going with the book, any updates at all?
It’s going very well thank you. We’ve made great progress and a lot of the work is completed, although there’s still plenty more to get to the finish line. Some interesting new facts have come to light as well…

It’s the 1958-59 Omega Seamaster 300
Ref: 2913-1. The Movement number was 15,706,XXX with caliber 501 (20 jewels).
In my opinion.
Dial: Original “Swiss Made” dial.
Hands: Original "Broad Arrow" hands, with some corrosion
Crown: Original signed Omega flatfeet crown
Bezel: The bezel insert was gone
Movement: Original Omega Cal 501 (20 jewels)
Bracelet: Original 7077 with endlink no.6
