Hi, I want to ask for opinion from this forum’s members about this omega seamaster de ville automatic.
I will buy it if no major problem.

So sorry as I don’t have pics of movement now but the seller told that it was omega ref.166.020.

In my opinion, it comes with original uncommon dial pattern (even no minute markers) plus onyx insert at every hour markers (little loss onyx at 12 o’clock).
Also, uncommon “seamaster” font too (especially “S” shape) but i can find this font in another model.
Slim hands but I think original one.
Crown need to be replaced.

Same font of “Seamaster”:

From my research, I can’t find this dial style in this model before. I can found only fews in Constellation model.

I compare both of it.

Thanks a lot for your advice and help.

I think the seamaster font is nicknamed ‘coat hanger’ and that’s about all I can tell you sorry

Not sure about the crown but the dial looks good to me. I normally associate that S with the pre De Ville models, but the pic of the other watch seems to prove the exception. I think it's ok.

I think the hanger S “hung on” (yeah I couldn’t help it) for the first year or so of the Deville, around ‘61-63, but it was a transitional period (also some front loaders not marked on the dial with “Deville”).
This is really an unusual looking watch- super groovy!

I have a personal theory that good-looking logos on textured dials are usually legitimate -- the time and effort to repaint at this degree of complexity just doesn't pay off. Reassuring to find the Connie version. Nice find!
