The movement serial number is in 26 million. You should check the tops of the hour markers if they are painted black or black onyx inserts.

That's ridiculous. Omega's "we don't care how old it is, we'll do a full restoration" price is SGD2000, if you base it off the US price, and the watch gets sent to Switzerland for service. So you might want to make sure you contact an Omega boutique to get that information, or ask Omega directly on their website for Singapore.

As for the rotor, it looks fine to me. Since there is no picture of the inside of the case back, can't really say for sure. You can usually see a mark inside if so.
Alright yeah thanks and yup I’ve checked with omega service centre for vintage pieces and they’ve quoted me 3k to send back to omega for a restoration.

Maybe, if it was a family heirloom with great sentimental value, but for that fee you could just go and buy the very best second hand model on the market and still have change

That’s the crown but I don’t believe it’s easy to get the original anyways so I’m pretty okay
It could be original as it’s got the old logo.
I’ve yet to see a 168.024 fitted with a thin scalloped crown which you see quite often on 166.010’s.
I’d keep that one!

It's clearly been rubbing...but it's not a big deal to repair, just needs a new pinion.

I would guess the confusion about the reference is because from what I have been looking at lately, both the 166.010 and 168.024 are stamped into the same caseback. Do not understand why, but the chronometer version has jumped a couple hundreds of dollars in the last few months. I should have pulled the trigger before it got hot. Got my sights set on a pie pan (any available for a Japanese price??) right now, so this one will have to get in line.
